What's Your Special Name?

Leti Diaz
I was reading the Bible this morning, I started where I left off, chapter 3 of the book of Mark, then I came to this verse, this part always makes me smile…
“James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James, to whom He gave the name Boanerges, that is, “Sons of Thunder”... I wonder, “what kind of personality did they have?” Perhaps their nick name “said it all 😊.

Then I thought, He renamed Simon, He gave him the name Peter (Cephas) which means Rock. Then I began to think of others who had their names changed by the Lord, any why.

So, my question to you is, what name has the Lord given to you?

Is it, My...
Beloved, warrior, courageous, fearless, tenacious, perceiver, wise, worshiper, lover of righteousness, defender, peace maker, encourager, valiant, reformer, anointed, lioness, healer, bridge, powerful, ruler, lingering one, etc.
I believe the Lord has given each one of us a special name, what’s your special name that the Lord has given you?
Mine are: Encourager, Beloved, Lily of the Valley
I want to stay positive here… but on the flip side, there could also be nick names that aren't so pleasant.. I can think of a few, but I won’t go there, you already know what they are, it's up to you if you want to change or keep those negative the nick names. Some people may think it's funny, but deep inside you really don't like it...

Change your way of thinking?

-
Do you, maybe, need some help to get you to a place where you need to be?
One way is… pray, read the Bible, ask the Lord to heal you, to change your heart. Remember you’re not alone, ask for help, seek God. You’re in the right place. Keep seeking, and knocking.
-
Are there things that you’re doing that need to stop, repent of, ask forgiveness from the Lord or from someone, or do you need to forgive others? How about forgiving yourself?
-
Another point, we can’t apply part of the Bible that only seems good to us, we can’t pick and choose what’s right or wrong. God has already given us the things we need to live by.
-
The 10 Commandments
-
Galatians 5:16-26
-
Etc.
-
Read 1 Corinthians, 1 Timothy, read the Word…
-
Now if you need to renew your heart and mind, simply ask, repent of your sins (don’t do them any more), ask for forgiveness, renew your faith, ask Jesus into your heart. He’s there waiting for you with open arms.

Beloved… He loves you, and wants you to flourish here on earth, and He definitely wants to see you in heaven. You never know when He’s gonna call your name, or could it be that the time of His coming is nearer than we think? Don’t wait until it’s too late. Receive Him as your Lord and Savior today.

Lord, I ask that today, You touch the hearts of those reading this and those that are in our hearts to know You in a dynamic way, to know and feel Your presence even today, right now. Fill each one with the precious Holy Spirit, fill them with love, joy, peace, faith and hope.
- In Jesus name, amen!

Again, I ask, “What name has the Lord given to you?”
